The Ship Centre is open to the public for 2026 visitor season.

FoNS volunteers will be opening the ship centre from 27 March to 31 October.

Normal Opening hours, for Summer 2026:   Friday and Saturday  10.30 a.m – 4 p.m. Last entry 3:45pm.

ADMISSION is free, including a guided tour by our knowledgeable volunteers or use the audio-guide to be taken round by actors Michael Sheen or Rhys ap William

  • Animated film of the making of the ship and its last voyage to Newport

  • Disabled access (to main exhibition space)

  • Toilets (excludes disabled toilets)

  • Hot & Cold drinks available to purchase

  • Dogs allowed on site (on a lead)
