The AGM will take place on Saturday 10th October 2026 at 2:30pm at the Transporter Bridge Visitor Centre. We are delighted to welcome, as our guest speaker, Paul Barnett, a maritime historian whose talk is entitled “A wreckers tale” covering the intentional beaching of iron and steel vessels at the entrance of the Sharpness dock in order to recover the materials they contain, also including several connections with the nearby Cashmore’s wrecking yard in Newport.
